Special Characters issue while loading from Oracle and SQL server charcter data

To resolve loading special chars on to Teradata, we tried utf8 charset

You can invoke mload using ” mload –c utf8 ”

But we were not completely successful as we were getting non-transalatable chars from Oracle and SQL server char columns.

Finally we used the below setting on Teradata dbscontrol internal fields which resolved.

the DBSControl (internal) setting

AcceptReplacementCharacters = TRUE
